The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia is commonly referred to as the RFDS and has a different division for each section of the country. For example, the Queensland Section is by far the most well known of all the Royal Flying Doctor Services and is a highly professional organization with all the technological advances you would expect of a modern fleet of flying doctors.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service prides itself on being the largest fixed-wing aeromedical service in all of Queensland and has made it their primary goal to provide primary health care services to those that live in remote, coastal and highly-rural areas of the Queensland state.
There are actually eight well-known bases located throughout the Queensland area. These are located in Cairns, Brisbane, Bundaberg, Longreach, Charleville, Rockhampton, Townsville and Mount Isa. They form a highly strategic network of flying doctors that deliver quality healthcare throughout all of Queensland.
